A TRIP TO SAN SEBASTIÁN

Last September we did an article about Bilbao, due to its proximity to Haro, and we suggested a series of routes with the most important visits to make. Today we are going to do the same, but making a trip to San Sebastian and discover all the charms of the city.

Remember that San Sebastian is just an hour and a half drive from Haro so leaving early in the morning we will have the whole day ahead to discover the city.

First of all, San Sebastian is ideal for walking. And we start with a pleasant walk along the beach of La Concha where we can see the different stately buildings along the promenade and the natural beauty of the beach.

On the beach of Ondarreta we will find one of the most representative elements of San Sebastian, the comb of the wind, a work of three pieces of Eduardo Chillida that coexist with the rocks that stop the waves of the sea.

Another imperative visit is the ascent to Mount Igueldo, which we will access through the funicular. Once up we will have enviable views of the city of San Sebastian and the Bay of La Concha.

Special mention about the old quarter of the city, where we will lose ourselves in its pedestrian streets to do some shopping, taste some pinchos or visit emblematic areas such as the town hall, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, the Church of San Vicente or the Plaza de la Constitución.

Through urban buses we will also access the Boulevard, which surrounds the old part, and which is a fantastic place to take a nice walk and enjoy the buildings that we will find.

Either at lunchtime or before leaving for Haro we recommend you to take a pincho route in the old part and try the many varieties of pinchos that we can taste. Of course San Sebastian as a gastronomic reference of our country, also offers restaurants to sit down and have an agape of the most quiet.

As you can see in one day we can make a trip to San Sebastian due to the proximity to Haro, so do not think about it!
