SKIING IN VALDEZCARAY

Skiing is not usually associated with La Rioja, but the truth is that just 50 kilometers from Haro we find the ski resort of Valdezcaray, ideal for practicing the sport of skiing both with family and friends.

You can complement the practice of skiing in La Rioja with a visit to the monastery of San Millan de la Cogolla, given its proximity and on the other hand escape to know the small town of Ezcaray.

Talking about the ski resort itself, it is worth mentioning the 26 slopes of which there are 6 green, 6 blue, 10 red and 2 black, so it gives a perfect coverage to the different levels of skiing. On the other hand, Valdezcaray has 10 ski lifts and 112 artificial snow cannons to guarantee the practice of skiing in La Rioja.

The resort has 2 parking lots with a capacity for approximately 1400 cars.

The services offered by the station range from lockers, bar cafeteria, restaurant, bathrooms and sports store where we can rent our equipment for skiing or practicing the different modalities of this sport.

Through the ski school we will be able to improve our technique with a professional teaching team. It is advisable to contact the resort to see the different modalities, schedules and conditions of the ski lessons.

We all know that ski pass prices are not exactly cheap, but in Valdezcaray we will find affordable rates compared to the rest of the ski resorts in Spain. That is why from 22 euros and we can buy our ski pass depending on the season we decide to ski.
