Just an hour and a half by car we can make a trip to San Sebastian, a distance of 144 kilometers which is well worth it to visit the city and go out for tapas in the old part of the city, enjoying the different taverns with the typical tapas of each one of them. Going out for tapas in San Sebastian is an activity hard to refuse. You can also opt for a cultural visit to San Sebastian.

Another closer alternative is a visit to Vitoria, 50 kilometers from Haro, which is only 50 minutes away by car. Ideal to spend the day, visit the old town, the cathedral of Santa Maria, the Basque parliament, the new cathedral of Vitoria, the Artium museum or the Ataria center in the green ring to contemplate the natural diversity of Vitoria Gasteiz.

On the other hand, a hot-air balloon ride over Haro is highly recommended to get an overview of the landscape of La Rioja and Rioja Alavesa and enjoy its colorful and endearing landscapes with vineyards as the main actor. This is one of the best activities for children in La Rioja.
