SUMMER IN LA RIOJA

After some difficult times, after the pandemic, we face a summer vacation full of optimism and eager to get out and break the routine of our day to day and that is why we propose to spend a few days of summer in La Rioja.

La Rioja, let’s not fool ourselves, is a destination to enjoy both in winter and summer, but it is with the arrival of good weather that allows us to enjoy it more thoroughly, with a multitude of activities that will allow us to experience firsthand the essence of our land.

One of the most recommended activities is to take the car and prepare a route to visit different charming villages in La Rioja. We are going to name some of them, but keep in mind that there are a large number of small towns with lots of charm that you can discover.

We start from Haro, a small town in the Rioja Alavesa, which stands out for being the headquarters of renowned Rioja wineries, such as Muga, López de Heredia, CVNE, Martínez Lacuesta or Ramón Bilbao, among many others.

Haro is a strategic place to set up a route through the area and visit charming villages in La Rioja such as Briones (8 kms), Briñas (5 kms), Labastida (6 kms), Casalarreina (7 kms), Cenicero (22 kms), Santo Domingo de la Calzada (20 kms) or San Asensio (15 kms).

These are charming villages that are very close to Haro, but we also recommend you to go to Logroño, which is less than 50 kilometers away and you can spend the day to enjoy the city.

Do not think twice and spend a few summer days in La Rioja, discover its corners, enjoy its rich gastronomy, practice a multitude of activities or do tastings in wineries, we assure you that you will lack days to be able to get to everything.

As good connoisseurs of the area, from our apartments in Haro, we will advise you on the different routes in La Rioja that you can carry out. And rest assured that, if you have never been in La Rioja, when you come, you will repeat again.
